Tangential true story. I was about 25 and was re-shingling my garage roof, my about 45 year old neighbor(lady) comes out and talks to me while i am squatting up there. Just kept talking & talking. Eventually she left. I then realized I'd had everything hanging in the breeze out of the worn skivvies & shorts. Awkward!!

From Sydney Morning Australia comes this story of a central west couple who drove their car to K-Mart only to have their car break down in the parking lot.

The man told his wife to carry on with the shopping while he fixed the car there in the parking lot. The wife returned later to see a small group of people near the car. On closer inspection, she saw a pair of male legs from under the chassis. Altough the man was in shorts, his lack of underpants turned private parts into glaringly public ones.

Unable to stand the embarrassment she dutifully stepped forward, quickly put her hand up his shorts and tucked everything back into place. On regaining her feet, she looked across the hood and found herself staring at her husband who was standing idly by.

The mechanic, however, had to have three stitches in his head.

I am bumping my favorite thread of all time as I am currently experienceing unprecedented heat from my crotchal region during the night.

Oh, I'm not ignoring the bump - but I couldn't ignore edpal's long-past post when this joke/story/urban myth popped into my head.

I think a lot of us will be glad when this summer is over. It has been too much for too long and I am tired of it and I don't even have this problem.
