i can't help you with getting those loops back, but i would suggest buying a external hard drive to backup important things like that

+1 I once lost a whole session that my band recorded, so I went out and bought an ext. HD, since then nothing has gone missing. It's worth the investment :)

good luck

where did you get the loops from?

anyway, how did you lose them? did you delete them? there are usually ways to recover stuff

a while ago i accidentally reformatted my camera memory card while on holiday and i used some software to recover the files(didnt work for some reason)

but i tested it again later and reformatted 3 pictures about 5 times and i still managed to get the files

Stellar-Phoenix Data Recovery suite is by far the shiznit. I lost a LOT of data due to an external hard drive crash and it got it all back. It goes through the drive bit by bit, even if the MBR is trashed. It takes a LOOOOOONG time but it's worth it. It will recover from formatted drives and deleted files too, I believe. Just don't use your computer until you try it so you don't overwrite the disk space.

Backup those externals too!
