Ableton Live 9 latency problems

So basically, i use Ableton Live 9 Suite (new to it), and i was recording a bass part with a metronome, and the problem is that after the track is recorder i play it , WITH the metronome. And it has a slight latency/delay.
How can i solve this ?

Mac or PC?

If PC, grab a copy of ASIO4ALL. If it's a Mac... Not really sure.

I'm not an Ableton guy, but in Logic you can use an I/O plugin, some clever cable routing, and their built-in metering tool to determine how many samples of latency are created by a roundtrip pass through the converters. You then enter a corresponding recording delay and you get sample-accurate tracking. I've verified this by manually patching the system's click track back onto a recorded channel (in the box, leaving the box, going back into the box) and comparing it to MIDI clicks generated in the box and only leaving it through monitoring. Works great. I'm sure Ableton has something like that.

Ableton live has it's own built in "hand to hand" walkthrough about setting up your audio preferences.

From the manual:

"The Audio Preferences are used to set up Live’s audio connections with the outside world via an audio interface. Please take the time to follow the program’s built-in “Setting up Audio I/O“ lesson, which will walk you through all the steps required to set up and optimize the settings for any given system. To access the lesson, use the Help View command from the Help menu."

Asio4All rules in pc also.

It mostly depends on your audio interface, it's drivers and the buffer size you are using.

I recently had "fun time" upgrading to Windows 10 only to realize that my new Onyx Blackjack is not supported in that OS. But asio4all saved me for now. Still waiting Mackie to update it's drivers...
