Double Bass About Takamine TB 10

Dear Forum People,

I would like to purchase a Takamine TB 10

Buy Takamine TB10 Bass - red stain - Euroguitar

All I want to know is how could I approach to that Electric Acoustic bass? Should I study Double Bass Methods with this bass or study it with like a regular fretless bass?

I agree on 1-2-4 if its going to be played upright with the end pin, but I doubt you'd be able to play arco on it, looks pizz only due to its design. If its going to played like a bass guitar then I'd play it as such.

This is a great Fretless Acoustic Bass Guitar, not DB. Use a bass guitar technique (1-2-3-4).

I play the Taka and I use the DB fingering only for the first position because the dimentions of the bass doesn’t allow to keep the bass fingering on the first position.
after from the second position (G on the E string) I use the bass fingering. I play it horizontally like a bass guitar.

For my hands, even on fretted BG, I use 1,2,4 below 5th by default, and only move to 1,2,3,4 by default around second position (first finger on fourth fret). A big fretless guitar like that, I would be more inclined to stick to that technique.
