Double Bass About the Dragonetti and Larsson

The tangible evidence is from scholar's comparing the compositions of Dragonetti. If you sit down with the 10 Dragonetti concertos and the Nanny concerto, they are supposedly very different in style.

P. Nemeth- Nobody is positive who wrote the concerto because there isn't (from what I know) and original manuscript to compare handwritings. But even so that can't even be said because many times composers had other editors write their music. For example, Bottesini's 2nd has a copy in his handwriting and a copy in an editor's handwriting.

This is a topic that can be argued in and out for years and we will probably not settle it. As of what my opinion is - Nanny wrote the concerto.

Many people believe that the A major concerto is a tribute to Dragonetti and that's where the confusion came into play.
