Well, I just spoke to Troy at Wildwood, who was hella cool and informative. Not pushy at all. He quoted me 1,799 plus tax, includes shipping. One gets 48hrs return window no questions asked.

Of course i could only think of half of the questions i wanted to ask them. I best make a lil list.

I called back yesterday 10 minutes before they closed and did the deed Delivery expected by Monday!

I wasn't being sarcastic. I've owned a '74 a '80 and now a '86. Played many new ones at namm shows. The only difference to me is the setup and the crappy truss rod system of the 70's. Nothing that a set of tools and a little know-how can't fix. I find them much more consistent than the 70's and later Fenders I've owned.

I used to joke that when I’m in my 80s I’ll be the kind of guy who’ll have a taxodermied cat in this ready to pounce pose. Delightfully terrifying. Completely forgot about it till I saw this picture.

I really think I might actually get a few of them. I kinda miss my great grandpa.
