The pain is like nothing I have experienced before. Don't know if I can see a dentist until Monday. OMFG!!!!!

It's an inside joke, and I'm the only one on the inside. A little over 40 years ago I overheard my work supervisor telling the big boss that his wife's liver biopsy was cancerous. The big boss: "I'd get that taken care of."LOL. Free internet advice.
Thanks for sharing.Sounds gross but I had one that popped up at the beginning of a long weekend and by the next day it hurt so bad decided to take a toothpick and drained it myself. I made up a big glass of really hot water loaded with table salt and rinsed my mouth multiple times with this solution. It helped with the pain and also drew the corruption out of the surrounding tissue. Eased the toothpick between the tooth and gum directly under the abscess and kept easing it up until the abscess opened up and started draining. I kept my face down over the sink and just let the gunk run into the sink, spitting to help it along. When it quit running I put a finger on it and mashed out the remaining crud. I did a couple of rinses with the same hot saltwater, then gargled with peroxide a couple of times and put some gauze in around the area to help keep it dry for a while.
Relief was immediate and the thing never came back. While probing with the toothpick I dislodged a piece of popcorn kernel husk that somehow got pushed way up under my gum, and I'm sure that was the culprit.

You have my sincere condolences. That s#%t hurts.
I remember that Tylenol 3 with Codeine wouldn't even touch that pain. I had the tooth yanked, almost instant relief.
I'd drink myself till I pass out or get into fetal position and cry myself to sleep.
You get what you pay for.LOL. Free internet advice.
I sort of combined both of these the other night.
...Is your surname Rambo by any chance...
No, just don't care for pain if I can do something about it. Had I been able to get to a dentist that day I would have done so, but the prospect of waiting 2 more days before I could see one was motivation enough to do whatever it took to get rid of the pain.
