There aren't a lot of bass clips for it so I offer you this.

I don't know for a fact, bit it felt very muffish to me when I owned one for 12 hours. If it is, it should be active-friendly.

No oscillation with active basses, and the regular fuzz gets super compressed and horrible sounding. It's a silicon Fuzz Face type of thing, I do believe.

Cool pedal, but has a pretty specific time and place. Such as Tuesday, in a zoo.

I found it to be a very aggressive sounding fuzz and fairly flexible within its range of sounds. It is not Mufflike at all.
It works best with passive basses. The oscillation section only works with passive electronics.

It is well made and inexpensive. Make sure to get the bass mod if you order one.

I disagree, mine oscillated like crazy when I was using my active Carvin, and while I would say that, yes it did sound very compressed, I still dug the sound.

I have a clip of the thing oscillating with my active bass, I don't know where you guys are getting that. I'll post the clip later tonight.

Interesting! I tried several active basses, it didn't oscillate with any of them. It went wild with passives though.

Do you know what that mod entails?

You can email Tom (the builder of fuzzhugger) and I'm sure he will help you with anything you need... I think it's a really super simple change, so if you have a little bit of knowhow you should be able to make it happen.

I can get it oscillate with my active but definitely sounds best with my passive jazz

It should oscillate with active basses, just turn the volume down. At least that's how it is with my 3xFX Fatman
