AccuGroove Whappo Grande

See I don't understand why people are so upset about this "magic switch"? Under the "Ampeg" name SVT has been plastered on many SS output amps. SVT was originally so named for the TUBE output design unique for MI bass amp use. That is not considered under-handed?
Rant over, apologies to those offended (after all it is "Ampeg"?).

Perhaps because it was a flat out fraud. Some of us rankle at that sort of thing. Publishing phony performance specs falls into the same category. IMO if you can't tell the truth about your product don't say anything at all...or stick to selling cables. :eyebrow:

Does anybody know how much these things go for?.. I'm just looking around cuz I want to invest in a new rig and it's kinda hard to test equipment cuz most places don't have a big selection of bass gear. Found of Krank made a bass head. Pretty stoked about that thing but was also looking into the Tc Electronic Blacksmith. I'm very indecisive when it comes to buying new gear.

Greenboy's post is about as good a specs as you're gonna get......good output above 50hz. Add to that whatever mids it may have won't be audible anywhere other than directly centered on the cone...meaning if you want to hear them you have to stand in one spot on stage and stay there.........oh, and peel the ears off the sides of your head and stick them on the backs of your knees.

The red trace is the Kappalite 3015LF, the blue the Beyma 21. The only area where the 21 is better is below the range of even the lowest dropped-tuned bass. Bigger isn't always better.

were those speakers measured in the same sized box? im suprized it dies off so quick! the driver must be of so-so quality. my sealed electro voice evx 180b cabs are flat to 30 hz with pink noise measured nearfield.

Beyma Speakers - Beyma 21SW1600Nd 21" subwoofer speaker - Beyma 21SW1600Nd high power 3,200 watt 21" woofer for all bass applications. Beyma 21SW1600Nd and other Beyma 18" speakers here.

Your measurement protocol must have been seriously flawed, as the EVX180B isn't capable of that, not by a wide margin. In 6 cu ft sealed it would be down 12dB at 30 Hz.
