Wow, lovely ziracote top on the 7 stringer.
And the un-named macc ebony prototype... Could you let us know a few more details? It looks like it's another Tefano type of idea, shortscale bass or guitar, but takes cues from the Skelf in its bridge area.

Lovely work, Alan! While I appreciated the intent behind the more standard J-types, I confess that I really enjoy seeing the "posh" versions with exotic facings and neck laminates!
It has not quiet worked out the way I intended. I am having trouble selling the more standard J Type but have picked up 4 orders for full custom versions.

Recurve Left Hand Alder with Ash top 4 string.
Finn 5 Alder with Black Limba top.
Finn 4 Alder with Zebrano top.

I'm mad busy, Alan at work and at home and I haven't got enough minutes spare to do justice to a J-Type review but it IS on it's way. Might be a couple of weeks away though. Sorry, but I'm working til 8pm each night and then decorating and home altering at night. It is something that will happen though...

Alan, what's the deal with the Graft basses? Are they essentially slightly lower spec electronics and basses that you build for stock without a specific customer order?
They are what were to be an entry level bass. Still built by me to the same standard but with no options and a more limited hardware spec. That being said the hardware is still all quality parts.

Gotoh GB7 tuners.
Single ACG humbucker.
East 2 band active EQ.
So not cheap and nasty hardware in the slightest.
3 piece maple neck Rosewood board an alder body with a selection of different tops.
Not made to order as such but you can reserve one at any time during the build.
I dropped them due to lack of interest. I still had these necks and bodies partially done so I am going to complete them and if there is little to no interest this time round that will be them finished.
With this batch I will be offering two electronic setups.
Single pickup with East 2 band EQ.
Dual pickup with passive setup inc a 4 way rotary pickup selector.
They will both be the same price.
