Getting to the stage I will be sorting out the pickups in these basses so if anyone is interested in any of them and they have a preference regarding pickups please let me know in the not to distant future.

I'm trying to work out what it will look like when finished. I'm seeing a semi-hollow with some interesting soundholes at the moment - is the placement of the holes decorative more than functional? Is it going to be piezo'd semi-acoustic or more of a jazz-style elctric? Looks fascinating!

The holes are mostly aesthetic rather than designed to achieve a particular outcome.
It will have two humbuckers and the normal volume tone and three way switch but all mounted on the top horn with access from the top/back of the Guitar so no controls on the front.

The guitar design is coming out pretty cool, Alan. Any thoughts on making a shortscale bass version, along the lines of the Tefano?

I have to admit, though, I'm very taken with this zebrawood Graft you're working on! I seriously wish I could talk to you about loading it up with a couple of RFBs, but that's not in the budget these days...

It may well work out but with less room to chamber it and no way I can get a pre-amp in the upper horn.

Always happy to have a chat Mike but you are not alone in the budget department it is a common complaint.

Does that headless nine string have a mahogany top? Looks like the one I nearly chose that for my bass, just stunning figuring.

That Recurve S-type looks really good too. Is that a pale moon ebony fingerboard? What is the top wood on that one?

It does indeed.
Spot on again with a Claro Walnut top and back with Swamp Ash core.

Bit unusual this one. It is a highly figured Maple one piece body.
