Bit unusual this one. It is a highly figured Maple one piece body.
What species of Maple is this?
The maple is pretty light weight I was a bit surprised at the weight once the body was cut out. I have no idea to be honest which maple it is.
Back to work after the holiday.
Got the finger board for a 9 string fretless sorted out.

Those are some big fretboards! The 7-string lava bubinga is particularly amazing. What kind of top with the instrument itself have? Seems like you'd want a top that didn't distract from the board...
