ACOUSTIC 370 head...

my room-mate fried his GK 400rb board, and same deal, it's a goner.
FACT : it would cost more to repair than to buy a new one.

Alot of whats been written in this thread is speculation and (not so fond) memories. There are a bunch of us using these amps and getting AMAZING sounds out of them. Love...hate? its YOU'RE choice!?

I have read a few places that the Acoustic heads are under rated. Although the 370 head is 365watts RMS and 760watts peak.....

I had a 220 head back in the 80's. Like a lot of heads back in that era, they were rated at relatively high distortion rate (don't know the actual % THD) My band mate ran an amplifier repair shop. We put the head on an oscilloscope, the sine wave started to clip when the volume knob went past 5. It was putting out 80W at 8 ohms. I think all the Acoustic heads were power rated at 2 ohms. I don't think it will be appreciably louder then your current head. I'd save up for a GK 2001RB or 1001RB instead

I run a 370 head that is loud and amazing. In tandem with a 270.
If you're gonna sell that 370, p.m. me. I'd love to buy it.

I play a club where the house amp is a full 370/301 rig. Sounds killer! I'd use it every night if someone else was carrying it.
