Acoustic 6x10

Crapshoot. And strongly doubt it'll ever sound great. A g****r box rather than bass & not built/tuned for bass drivers (or, especially, whatever specific speakers you may go with). But it could still turn out to be a fun experiment. If you have the bux for the 10s & can keep a sense of humor about it, then why not give it a go? Sure sounds like you want to. Just be certain to report back :).

If it is in good working shape I'd flip it or sell it as a guitar cabinet.

There really are plenty of better options for your B600H amp and most won't include buying six brand new 10" drivers which is going to cost you well over $300 dollars for just mediocre drivers. If you want six decent 10" drivers you're looking at $600 dollars and with that kind of money you're much better off just getting a different cabinet altogether.

If you haven't bought it yet then DANGER WILL ROBINSON

I get it, you're stoked on the B600H and want to match it with an Acoustic Cabinet. I'm guilty of the exact same thing
Do yourself a favor and get a real bass cabinet. Used Acoustic stuff can be bought at guitar center for pretty damn cheap. The older B115s go for $99 all day long and recently they had a sale were the newer B115 MKII was $199 brand new.

Do yourself a bigger favor though and skip on the newer Acoustic stuff. The amps are decent but the cabinets leave a lot to be desired. If you insist then try to find a 4 Ohm vintage acoustic BASS cabinet (that head if 4 ohm stable right?) or mod a newer used Acoustic BASS cabinet with a decent BASS driver.

Better yet though, buy a real decent cabinet.
Most of the other guys on here are going to recommend that you just get a higher quality bass cab from a different manufacturer and the bottom line is that they are right. There are plenty of offerings out there on your local CL, GC used, and even new several manufacturers have sub $300 dollar cabinets (I assume this is your budget since you're looking at an old vintage Acoustic 6x10" as a bass cabinet).

Good point It would get pretty expensive. I currently use my. B600h through an acoustic 4x10 cab and I just want to get a lil louder. What would you recommend it doesn't have to be the same brand

Well the answer is simple really! :roflmao:

You sell your gear and spends thousands of dollars on custom boutique fEARful cabinets then are left with a gorgeous audiophile full range bass cabinet and no amp to power it with! lol :greedy:

Just kidding (in an alternate universe where money is of no concern this actually is the solution! ;))

First what is your budget?

Second, are you happy with how your B600H sounds through the 4x10"? If you like the tone and character of your sound and only need more volume (understandable considering that the B600H probably does less than 300 watts at 8 ohms) then your cheapest and simplest option is to get another Acoustic 4x10". You would want to get one that is the same as the one you've got now, so If you've got a MKII then you want to get a MKII, if you've got one of the older 4x10" cabs then you want to get that.

If you're not happy with the tone and character of your current setup and not only do you seek more volume but you also want a different sound then we're back to step 1, what is your budget?

TL;DR
Get another Acoustic 4x10" cabinet of the same generation as what you've got now. They're on GC used for less than $200 all day.
