Acoustic Amplification & Acoustic USA Ownership?

Is Acoustic Amplification and Acoustic USA separate companies or two branches owned by the same company? Is Guitar Center the owners of AA or are they just providing the finances? I read that the next issue of Bass Gear Magazine (issue 5) has a feature on the history of Acoustic and will probably answer these questions.

Tom Levak is so lucky. The USA made products are still tied up in the UL process. Hopefully, 2010 is the year these beauties are available for the general public.

Acoustic (USA) has not been able to get us a test rig yet, so the Acoustic story is currently on hold. We do look forward to bringing the full scoop once everything is ready, though!

Yeah, I'm not really sure what the hold up is (I hear it's UL testing) but I'd sure like to see them come to market before I die....this old man is just that...OLD!!

You can get pages of discussion over on the unofficial acoustic amp forum.
The quick answer is that AA is a GC brand, made in China.
Acoustic USA is seperate and made the USA.
They are taking orders at this point.
I don't know if they will ever be in stores, as they are pretty much hand built to order,
so far.
From all I have gathered, they are everythying the old ones were ans more.
