acoustic b100 amp suddenly not working :(

so i take this amp to band practice once a week and only put the volume up to 3...so not very loud. i bought it off this guy who had it for about 6 months, ive had it now for about 6 months now too. so i turn it on and it dont work. i turned the volume knob up, made sure my basses volume is up, changed cables and nothing.

usually when i turn the volume all the way up even though my bass isnt connected i hear very noticeable hiss. but now when i do the same thing i hear very, very low hiss and when the volume is cranked to max i can hear my bass very low but distorted.

so, what can i do to troubleshoot it? does this amp have fuses? by the description i gave, is the speaker possibly blown? i know nothing obviously about amps lol. thanks guys.

You know for sure it's not your bass? I've had some funky stuff happen and I just blamed it on the amp when it was really my bass that was the problem. You try plugging a guitar or something else into it?

+1 on checking out the bass first and then go to the amp. active?, battery check, chord check, sounds funny but ignoring the obvious happens all the time. Plug in another bass?....then you can always have the amp checked out on the tech bench, as a last resort.................

lkngro has the same amp and a whack cures it...this points to the effects jacks oxidizing. If the amp has effects loop jacks by all means squirt some contact cleaner in there and do the in/out thing with a 1/4 inch plug.
