I own one of these amps. Love it, no issues. My friend owned one, too. His quit working. It had quit once before, and he had it repaired. This time rather than repair it, he replaced it. He gave me the old damaged amp. As these are relatively low cost amps, is it worthwhile to repair it, or should I do as he did & just get a different amp? Or is it a boat anchor now?

Depends on how good the tech is. A truly qualified tech should be able to repair the amp without difficulty, but an under-qualified tech will struggle with continuing reliability issues.
Get a repair estimate.
My thoughts are… if it failed once before, chances are good it may fail again. So many variables on the previous repair, how long the repair lasted and did the repair find the root cause.
I haven’t repaired this version but the combo amps are known to have bad electrolytic capacitors. Repaired a few of the combo style from Acoustic brand.
