acoustic b200h or behringer bx3000t?

OK.
You guys will think that I'm crazy but here I go! :D
I own a Eden WT-550, a GK 1001 RBII, a SWR 350X, a SWR 210C combo and a Behringer BX3000T. I paid only $60 for my Behringer (craigslist) over 2 years ago and I've used it and abused it hundreds of times and I haven't had a single problem. I love the sound and it's actually my favorite head! :hiding: Go figure! :D

BX4500H and a Hartke VX215 cab is my gigging rig and it sounds great....I get compliments on my bass tone most everytime we play out...and its often the "house" rig when we play with other bands and they are always amazed how good it sounds...especially when they see its a Behringer...:p
The only negative comment Ive gotten is "turn it down":bassist:

pinhead brand snobs?

That really cracks me up!

I have two different "brand" rigs with Eden, Aguilar and GB heads/cabs. But, I also have two Behringer combos. The only reason the Brhringer's don't get much use is because they make their cabinets out of concrete. (or some other heavy material) Actually, the Behringer's sound respectable and are dirt cheap.

I feel I have to speak up on behalf of the Behringer amp. I own one and have used it for over 2 years now. I also fix and modify amps for musicians. I put the BX3000T on my 400 Watt load box and it will put out 350 Watts all day long without a hint of overheating. In fact, the load box is the item that's showing the heating effects, as expected.
I find the various tone controls work great on the amp. Not much love anywhere for the Ultrabass....such an oddball effect.
I could not make the amp distort (normal input levels) when it puts out full power. Protection circuitry keeps the waveform clean...and that is the key to my personal tone preference...deep and clean.

Your posting "facts" about a Behringer? Gotta be careful! A lot of folks won't let facts get in the way of their opinions.

And I agree about Ultrabass - just too weird for me.

Great to know what you've posted though.

And my experience agrees with yours. Really good tone was easy to find on mine too.
