Acoustic B200h w/B115 cab??

listen, you get a bass that serves your needs and you play it to the best of your ability, it doesn't matter if it cost $5000 or $50. i have done arena shows many many times with basses that cost me $100. same with amps, although i do have more expensive tastes in amps than basses, and i hate the real low budget cabs, except for these acoustics. they're a lot better than most in their class.

I've tried the 100W combo from Acoustic before, but I've never tried this Head/Cab package. The 100w seemed pretty good, it was warm, got a nice bit of sparkle/grit when I turned the gain up. I've heard all good things about these, so it should be interesting.

Ha...my first bass was a Peavey T-40...and i STUPIDLY sold it because i was 12 and couldnt play it standing up! so damn heavy!

I JUST bought this head today....for $150 I play it through an original Guild/Hartke 410. (any one have info on this thing?!) Its an 8ohm 200w cab....but not the acoustic one. I think its GREAT so far. Some good character out of my several basses...even got my SRX400 sounding like a p-bass. haha.

Its no pro head but its got loads of sound for this price. Seriously...if youre just 'movin' on up' or replacing blown gear (like me)....you'd be stupid not to buy it at this price.

My first two basses didn't even compare to that. My third bass was a Peavey T-40. If I could get that back, I'd fly over Hartley Peavey's house and bomb him with it. There would be nothing left. Sure, I'd have closure, but it wouldn't mend my ruined left shoulder.

I just got home with mine and the B410, $379 before tax. I just couldn't pass it up.

The OP wanted to know about the B200H and the B410 or B115. I have had a B200h AND B115 for about 4 months now, and I like it. I went to GC today and played a B20 combo because reivewers were ranting and raving about how good it sounds for its size. And I have to agree. It was HARD not walking out with it. But then I remembered that not a few people had said that the B200H performed better with a B410 than with a B115. It was on sale today for $229, and I remembered that I had a gift card for $100 I hadn't used, so I bought it without even playing it.

YESSSS! Wow! Okay, I haven't had a lot of rigs and all of my equipment is budget, and I DO like my B115, but the B410 is more better! One of these days I'll hook my B200H up to both of them together, but with all the noise the B410 makes I'd better wait until no one else is home.

In summary, for the money, either combination is a really good deal IMO. But if you can only get one cab at a time, I'd get the B410 FIRST!

Well, since this is my first post here, I'll quickly introduce myself.

I'm just a 17-year old guy from extreme western Pennsylvania. Been playing bass for 4 years now and am a pretty good player, am looking forward to getting addicted to this forum!

Now that that's over, I was wondering if anybody has had the opportunity to try either the head with the cabinet, or the head with a different cabinet?? I listed it in my gear section because I'm planning to get one.


I haven't had the opportunity, so I was wondering if someone could give me an idea. I play mainly rock, but also some jazz here and there.

Don't wait, buy one now! I've been using the B200H with two B115 cabs. I've owned a lot of high-end, expensive amps and cabs over the past several years and this stack blows them all away....all for about $600 new.

How does the B200H/B115 compare with Hartke stuff like the LH500/AK115 set up that others sell for a few notes more?
