Acoustic B450 help.

A little off topic, but Wikipedia is a great resource when you're quickly looking for info on a trivial level, but if you ever find yourself in a college-level class of any kind and cite Wikipedia as a source in a bibliography, it will possibly lead to a dropped or failing grade.

Nick you have a lot to learn about business. What the guys are telling you is factual. The Acoustic amp you have was manufacture under a contract for Guitar Center and it's subsidiaries. It's connected to the original Acoustic in name and looks alone.
Geez lol. People don't like to be wrong, whether it's me or anyone else. I'm not freaking arguing with you guys. I'm just trying to make the connection between all the different acoustic volcanoes as I said. I'm very well aware wiki isn't always something to take seriously, but it gives a decent understanding. No reason to get all rude and **** guys..
Don't stress too much. Those of us that were around for the original days of ACC are pretty unhappy about GC's parent corporation's deception is all. It would be like Yugo buying the Pontiac name from GM and using GM's Pontiac history to peddle their new product. Could it be a decent product, sure it could be. But open deception rubs many the wrong way.

Good point, no offense taken here. That's a good point if they're going to use the other companies history to make themselves look good, that's kinda scummy. For me on a personal level though, I paid $200, list was 1199 New lol. It's a 450w expandable to 600 with a cab. It's got tones of different tone options. I love it so far. But I just got it so I need to go play it for a few hours lol.
Like I said there are many people happy with the way they perform, not just you so enjoy!

I own a vintage 370 head as well as newer GC Acoustic.
Vintage is old school; heavy ...solid state And built like a tank. Only competition was SUNN Coliseum. S V T won out in long run, but S V T [ OLDER VERSION] is all tubes..loud and heavy.
New G C Acoustic.. is Acoustic in name only... best bang for the buck...I tried them all before making my purchase. I still hold that to be true.
Acoustic U S A ... THE NEW real deal.. I haven't seen nor heard one, but owner/ president George Grexa will call you..loves to chat and talk amps.

A small headphone amp would be better as there is no way to shutoff the internal speakers. The foot switch will mute the amp for silent tuning. Only the tuner out would still be "live" but with no tone shaping and would not drive head phones. Can't think of a way to get you there.
Like I said there are many people happy with the way they perform, not just you so enjoy!

My main amp is a Genz benz shuttle 6 w/2 112 epifani cabs.
BUT, that doesn't mean I'm "too cool" to play through an Acoustic...
I went to look for a decent sized combo to have for pratice space. What I bought was The BEST sounding combo that guitar center had (under $700). an Acoustic B200(used). the next best sounding (IMO) was a markbass suttin or other, but I wasnt gonna shell out the cash for my practice rig.
Long story..well..not as long..the acoustic stuff (that Ive played) sounds pretty good.. very clear loud smooth amplified sound of my electric bass. I spose you could ask for more.. But I have found nothing that sounds any better, (for the money.)
I have used the B200 on a few gigs..sounded very nice.
I do prefer the genz and my cabs tho, rather than hauling the heavy combo..but again, I bought it so It can sit there in thae practice room, and Not be hauled around.

Short answer YES. If they were Acoustic Control Corporation they would not be Acoustic Amplification in any letter head, web page footer or web site name.
They bought the rights to use the Acoustic name and branding scheme but not the full corporation name.
Like you or someone said to the original poster, I have a lot to learn about business. It bugs me that they lie. Thanks for the education.
Marketing is always stretching the truth in creative ways to try and get consumer's dollars. Usually not as blatant as this, but apparently the risk has paid off for them.
Hopefully someone will resuscitate the Hostess Twinkie trademark and keep it somewhat true to the original.
