I bought a new Acoustic B450 from guitar center a few months ago with the money I and my two other bandmates scrounged up, and we didn't have enough to buy the Guitar Center warranty, which I am now kicking myself for.
Anyways, the amp has had a significant loss of tone, and since the first day I got it it has also made a muddy whizzing sound that sounds kind of like flapping paper when you play the E string, and this is with the volume at about 12 and everything else midrange. I play a MM fender jazz bass through it, and I have had the bass itself looked at and opened up and examined completely by guitar center to verify that the pickups and everything else in the entire body is sound.
I know it should sound better, because playing the same exact gear at guitar center sounds great. Any ideas? I've seen a thread about wiring or something being bad in these amps, and hopefully I don't need to buy a new speaker. I'll probably have to send it to acoustic but all that downtime will be bad for my band.
