Acoustic bass strings

I am interested to know what acoustic strings people play...I've just had a 4 string bass, I use earnie ball chromes on my electric. The acoustic will need new strings at some point, and wondered which ones to consider?

Oh ok, they are made for electrics though, right??

You can technically use any string on your acoustic; my Warwick Alien 6 fretless currently has a set of GHS Super Steel Contact Cores on it. The downside is you do lose a bit of acoustic volume because of it, but given that I'm almost always going to play this bass plugged in, it's a non-issue.

Try a couple and see what you ultimately prefer.

After the stock bronze, and then TI Acousticores, I tried LaBella 760N Tapes... been using them ever since. They used to be ~$19.00 off the Carvin site. I bought 3 sets the last time to offset the S&H. That was 3+ years ago and still have 2 unopened packs. Turns out they also work well on my '67P when I don't feel like taking out the large ABG.
