Active wiring question

OK...so maybe I was a little vague. Let me re-phrase my questions.

In an active bass that is currently wired Vol/Blend/Bass/Mid/Treb...

1. Can I get rid of the blend pot? If so, how would I wire the two p'ups to the same volume control?

and...

2. Can I add a series/parallel switch to an active bass?

That is a little clearer...I think

1) Yes. Just connect them in parallel, i.e. take the hots from both pickups and connect them to the volume pot where the output from the blend control originally went.

2) Yes, if the pickups themselves aren't active.
