Get over yourself. The "Recordings" forum lists "YouTube Finds" as one of the topics for which the forum was created. The "Miscellaneous" forum says it's for posts that are not specific to any other forum.
So, clearly this is yet another "YouTube Find" post that is in the wrong place. Why don't the mods have any interest in enforcing their own rules?
This is straight out of the playbook of dodgy businesses. Insinuating themselves strategically in order to apply leverage and influence agencies that could work against their interests. People often say "but that costs them millions" yep but the ROI makes it well worth it.For Berkely in particular the ethics of their faculty being on the board of advisors for Suno is pretty damning, imho
Truer words......and next time you (or I) are having a stormy season, perhaps step away from the internet for a while.
You make good points. But those who live in glass houses...certainly applies. Life is tough and I wish nobody ill will, but when one condescends/trolls other posts when people have legit questions, one should have a memory themselves of said events. If you are a regular here, you might have noticed that the poster at odds with so many others is going through a genuinely trying time, which would be hard to bear for almost anyone. This guy has a lot of thoughtful and useful posts about actually playing the bass, which is the most important thing about our whole endeavor. He could have been a little more pleasant about things, but he's a smart guy and a serious player. So maybe cut him a little slack, and next time you (or I) are having a stormy season, perhaps step away from the internet for a while.
There is a kernel of truth to the "look what the algorithm showed me!" phenomenon that seems to have taken over the world. It can't be stopped. Everyone's brain has been colonized the hyper-temporary nonsense. I've noticed it happening to me many times. I'm much happier reading a book or learning and playing music.
Anyone who's been bitten by the satanic scourge of AI is beyond help from my estimation. The discussion has fossilized. It does feel good to know that others see the horror of it.
Right. Three pages, and containing what?I came in thinking I was going to read a thoughtful discussion regarding AI in music. Boy was I wrong.
I get where you are coming from and being a regular here I will acknowledge that you are correct in his contributions. But I will say, when you find yourself regularly in a room where you are constantly griping about the party that YOU came to and you are ruining everyone else's good time in the process, then you need to realize YOU are the common denominator in that situation really causing the problem, not the party. Being a regular I can also say, this happens a lot and should stop going forward because it isn't fair or to anyone posting and contributing in their own way.If you are a regular here…

This is worth checking out.
