His tone on that track is one my favorites. Not sure if he is doing a straight up distortion or a full on fuzz; pretty sure it's fuzz.
I can dial it in pretty close using just the dirty channel of my Ampeg SVP-BSP.
Last concert I saw before I moved from Atlanta in '91. Public Enemy opened for them and Mike Watt was on bass. There was elbow room galore on the floor. Great show. He will be missed. RIP.

Aw man, that's horrible. I'm going to grab Check your Head and rock it in tribute. That just makes me sad.

Wow. I always thought that was Mc Eiht on that track. I never got into Beastie Boys, but I've always loved when that song came on!. You learn something new every day!

I'm a huge fan and this is a big loss for me being a Hip Hop lover since 1986. Adam was also an inspiriation for me as a bass player. His style is unique and is something I aspire to emulate in my own way. He will be very missed.
