I've searched a lot of the threads and have narrowed down my choice to either another 210 or a 212. No 115 for me. So, could use your help. Here's the situation....

I currently own two TCE RS210's and would like to add a third cab for versatility. I'm sticking with TC Electronic since the cabs are, more or less, built and tuned to work together. My gut tells me add a 212 because I could use the 212 as a single to get a little more volume than using a single 210. Or, should I get another 210 so I could run the same cabs together. I love the tone, the tight lows and punchy mids that the two 210's provide together. If I add another 210, I'm thinking I would get more of the same but more volume...which isn't a bad thing either. I play in church and completely fingerstyle and some pick. No slap (which is great cuz I'm not good at it....).

Anyway, the room sizes vary. Our church is inside a middle school auditorium but, periodically, we'll play at different venues like hotel ballrooms and other churches some of which are quite large (1,000+ venues) sometimes with a backline and others are BYOG (Bring Your Own Gear). So, I think versatility is key for me.

At home, I'll play other types of music but not really worried about bringing down the walls at home. I don't think the family would appreciate that.

I'm using an active Yamaha 5-string bass with nickel strings but will periodically use a passive Jag bass with stainless steel strings just to keep things interesting and lively. My amps are Markbass LM III, GK 400RB III, Mesa Walkabout, GB Neo-Pak 3.5 and an Ampeg PF-800. I love the tone of the Walkabout through the RS210's. It makes the cabs feel more like an 810 with respect to the airy push it gives the speakers. Not sure exactly how to describe it but it's magical. I don't use pedals just whatever the amp brings. The amp used will depend upon the type of set we're playing but generally I gravitate toward the Walkabout and the 400RB III.

I realize I have a 4 Ohm limitation with the heads above. But, I do have a Crown XLS 602 that I plan to use as a power amp using the preamp from the heads above using the DI Out. In the TB threads, it appears the Walkabout can successfully play at 2 Ohms and that is great since one of the 12AX7 tubes helps to drive the power amp so is critical to it's sound. The others don't have that so I'm thinking the power amp will not dramatically change the tone of the amps.

Could use your help....Please let me know what you think.....

Bill, you're right and that's exactly my plan is to use a power amp to run 2 Ohms....technically 2.67 since I'll be running 3 cabs at 8 Ohms each....but probably not an 18....want to keep within the TC Electronic cab family. Thanks.

Just my experience, when I mixed tens and twelves, it sounded awful. I was so disappointed. Not to be discouraging, but I would try them together at volume, with the band, if that's not possible, the safe route would be the tens..
