Adding a midrange to a Black widow

I've been reading a bit about adding mid drivers.
I have an old peavey black widow bxbw with a 4 ohm 1505dt.
Is it even possible to add a mid in this cab?
Do I use a high pass or a true crossover? What crossover frequency?
Do I ned an L-pad?
Whats a good mid, does it need to be a closed back design?

BTW, I am restoring an old peavey 210 tx. Do I use a high pass or a true crossover? What frequency should I crossover? Should I cross low and get a new horn or get a mid for this cab too?
