I'm sorry if this answer is already out there, but I have searched with no luck.
I've got an American Elite JB which I like, but I've got some Fralin split noiseless pickups that I much prefer (currently sitting in an AM Pro JB). I would really like to throw these Fralins into my Elite, while keeping the pre-amp etc. as it is - I'm hoping to literally snip the two wires to each noiseless pickup, solder the Fralins in, and call it a day.
Should this work? I've done lots of soldering etc., so I know what I'm doing in that respect, but I've never really messed around with the guts of an active circuit, so I don't know what could go wrong.
Any help would be appreciated!
