Double Bass Adjsutable bridge - but less sound tone?

Dear All,

I would like to ask you about adjustable bridges.

I would like to buy one, but I afraid of the reducing of tone and loudness.

Can you advice me some products, or some metal type, which can do the trick without any waste of pure sound?

Thank you a lot!

I think that if this forum does nothing else, it at least provides a bit of knowledge and science to the bass world. A lot of persistent myths get debunked, and if even one player refrains from an at home seam repair using carpenter's glue, then TB is worthwhile. An anecdote: A well known repairer/friend of mine once told me that in every single case where he had replaced aluminum adjusters with ebony, the customer eventually came back and asked to switch back to Alu.
