Adjusting A Sansamp For Live work

Ok This is just opinion and has worked out well for me.

I have a Sansamp RBI going into a CS-800 and then a 8x10.

I play in Medium Venues 200-500 people.

First of all I HATE being DI....Until Now

I took My Sansamp Effected XLR out and plugged into a 1x15 powered main while plugged into my CS-800

I went in between turning The PA cab up and Then The 8x10 then Both until I was Happy with The Tone coming from both..


I watched a Tape of a guy that had a Hi End Mic on his Camera taping me and My Tone was The best it had been EVER.

I had numerous Compliments on the sound of the band ETC..

I would Rather be MICed but if I have to be DI then at least I have a fighting Chance..

That's the concept...the SansAmp (BDDI, ParaDriver, RBI, RPM, etc) supposedly simulates the vibe of a mic'd bass rig. I use a similar rig myself.
