Adversion to the Phone

I truly don't know why, but I detest talking on the phone. I have a real aversion to it. A-V-E-R-S-I-O-N.

Even to my wife or kids. It's just uncomfortable and is a pain in the arse. Apparently I'm notorious for short and to the point phone borderline rude calls.

Me too. I hate it. I just text. Really rare that I talk on the phone.

Yeah I hate using phones too. Can't stand it at all. I too would much rather speak face to face and I enjoy public speaking as well. As far as trying to get better talking on the phone, try this. Inhale through the nose for a count of four. Hold that air in for a count of four. Exhale through the mouth for a count of four. Hold empty for a count of four. Repeat until you calm down and feel calm and collected. It'll take some practice but that simple technique can be used for SO many more things than calming yourself to talk on the phone.
