im looking for a 210 cab or something to make my 410hlf just a little less bassy. is there something out there? and how much would it cost to make it look like an ampeg cab? re-tolex, re-grill.

Advice on cab options please

There are a lot of things that can make you sound bassy besides a cabinet. Number 1 is the room and location of the cabinet, number two is the equalizer settings. Try moving your cabinet and search the eq range for the problem frequencies. I don't think replacing your cabinet will fix the problem.
First, It is useful to put a subject line that applies to your post.
Secondly, I would get an ampeg 210 cab to go with your 410 if thats the route you want to go. However, the HLF has never been a cab that cuts through. If I were you I would sell the HLF and buy a 410 closed cab, or maybe the 610. If your amp will handle a 2 ohm load(most don't) then getting an 8 ohm 210 to go with the 410 is possible, but might just be a pain in the butt in the long run.
I guess I should say, you wont help make the 410 less bassy by adding another cab.
Have your tried an absorption pad under neither your cab? If your on a lifted floor(not solid concrete) or stage you may be getting a lot of bass from a coupling effect.

I've edited the thread title here to make it a little less aggravating and also deleted your other two threads on the same topic. Please show more consideration to other users of the forum when posting here in future if you wish to use the site on a regular basis.
I play through one of those cabs about 4 times a month. It's supplied backline equipment. The cab to me is deep and mushy. I tend to eq the bass and the mid-lows down and keep the high-mid and treble straight up. I don't think I end up with a great tone but the rest of the band feels it sits nicely in the mix.
