I won't have enough money to invest in a full amp setup before the end of the year, unfortunately. But that won't stop me window shopping.
I try to restrict myself to spending less than $1000 on basses, but I'm willing to chuck in a few grand for an amp if you guys think it's absolutely worth it. It'd be great if it could be kept under $2000, and with plenty of wattage!
Just looking at my favorite bassists, most of them use Ampeg SVT's. Which are a little expensive (but I guess I could...). I'm aiming for a super warm, booming, really punchy sound for finger-style. Any suggestions?
