I'm [DEL]moving[/DEL] returning to Old School and currently outfitting a rack.
I'll stick with my Furman, since power outages here and resulting power zaps when it comes back on happen all the time - as they did where I used to live too, now that I think about it. Besides, the tube lights look cool. And all the receptacles. And the power jewel/rocker switch.
Tuner-wise, the Korg 'Cylon Eye' works better and is more accurate that my Marley floor unit, so it stays since I can see it from greater distances instead of having to hover over it and look down.
Then there's my wireless unit - it stays in the rack.
Next I'll get a nice rack compressor, even though my current LMB-3 is good, I can do better.
If MXR made an M-80, rack style - I'd be on it instantly.
I'd MAYBE go 'bag-style' for a soft case rack in the future, but right now this hard rack is just fine. Besides, I can stuff a lot of cables and my mics inside it.
And I like the Starship Enterprise look to it all.
I can't -
and won't - dance while I play bass, so I might as well wow people with the visuals and just stand still and play. At least I look cool.
Gawd - I guess that sounds shallow.
