Advice on replacing pedalboard with iPad

I prefer analog, individual components and redundancy, personally. I can't tell you how many times I've had to troubleshoot somebody's tablet or computer at a gig.

Windows/Android, sure.

Apple stuff generally just works.

But do be sure and put it in Airplane Mode during a gig!

I might be dead before I even start. Irig HD X is connecting and inputting to the iPad, but nothing out.

I’m building my first pedalboard and going with an iPad + pedalboard arrangement. Pedals for the actual effects/sound processing, iPad to manage presets and edit effects (Source Audio C4 Synth and Ultrawave).

I can't find where to select the audio out on any of the apps, including GarageBand. Any tips?

I finally got it working. I think the HD X is tricky. But yeah, I was expecting latency to be there, but it might be just a little too much.
