Advice on Warwick bass choice

Would appreciate some advice.
Have always wanted to add a Warwick to my collection. To be honest the purchase isnt really justified in musical terms as I im just a pub band covers player and already have a Jazz V, White Falcon and 4003. However the stuff we play is rock from CCR and Neil Young to Arcade Fire.
Based on the above (sketchy brief) which Warwick would you recommend or am i barking up the wrong tree and should be adding to my collection with another brand?

Warwicks are not a one trick pony my friend. For years I used a thumb bolt on for everything that I play (minus salsa, EUB only). I play big band, jazz combo, rock/country, and the occasional R&B/Hip Hop, and until recently, the thumb bolt on was my only instrument. That being said, I wouldn't go to a big band gig with a vampyre dark lord! The thumbs and streamers seem to fit in aesthetically with ease.

not being a Warwick expert (but looking at your already impressive collection) I would think a $$ might offer something different to what you have...(but I also would think that that J would cover any cover band situation pretty nicely so *** do I know... )

Could never go wrong with some sort of Corvette. A $$ or just a standard would both be great. Someone else said it, definitely not just limited to one style with a Warwick. In all my years, I've seen them used for just about everything. Really cool basses that'll allow you a wide range of things tonally.

A $$ is always a good choice, very versatile. I just got a Corvette Proline in a trade an I am amazed how fantastic it sounds. I thought it would be like a Jazz, but sounds nothing like my other J pickup instruments. Never had the pleasure of trying a Corvette Standard, but if it's anything like the Proline, it would be a great addition.

I have a warwick stage 2.....and brother I love it ....and like above you can play anything with it ....the tone is awesome at any level of music ....I play a fender jazz also ...and I like it but nothing beats my warwick ...its one bass ill never sell or trade

Corvettes are really nice, Streamers are really nice, Thumbs are really nice. I would say the Thumb is a bit of an odd bass physically (try it on the strap, you might find F is a long way away) and does have something of an idiosyncratic sound, but it sits well with typical pop band instrumentation.

I would never have considered a Warwick, but at a church several years ago the orchestra leader heard my P-bass and at the first break broght me a 5-stg Fortress. "You need the low B" says he. Well, I was sold. I now have a Warwick. BTW In Branson MO at least five of the shows have a Warwick on-stage being used nightly. So you can do Country-Pop also with it.
