I just bought one. Handles the low B really well. I've been playing two 1x15 cabs so I wasn't particularly looking for a 4x10. I was initially looking at a 1x15/2x10 stack but like the BRX better by itself. I still might add a 1x15 or 1x18 though.

I A/Bed the BRX and their other 4x10 and the BRX was the clear winner in terms of handling the low B and having much more punch with the same amp settings (I believe other one is sealed and smaller in size, so that's probably why).

so i a/bed the Goliath III and Avatar, and there must be something wrong with my goliath, because NIGHT AND DAY. the avatar is amazing, handles the low B sooo much better than the goli. I would have written a real review if there was the slightest bit of competition but I've never heard my tone this good before, and I think it's less about how great the avatar is than the fact that there seems to be something wrong with my goliath (which I just sold to sit in a basement for a hobbyist)

I bought a Peavey TVX 410 4 ohm used on ebay for $150. I think it is one of the ones they had just before they came out with the Tour series, looks almost new. The seller was in my hometown so no shipping fees. It's a real nice cab and sounds huge with just my little B2R amp! Downside is it weighs almost 100lbs but with casters on it isn't so bad. Maybe you could find a deal like that if you're patient.

I came very close to buying a TVX 4x10 and 2x10. The only reason I didn't do it was someone offered to buy the 4x10 out from under me... that jerk!

carvin br410 brand new on clearance at carvin.com for 319.99 ... these cabs are very similar to the ampeg svt410e

4x10's,a box,hardware,labor,shipping,brand new for $319......i dunno,man,id think a good quality used unit might suit you.....you get what you pay for...i thought i saw a mesa 410 in the classifieds for 400 bux but i dont recall what state its in....
