Affordable Medium Scale 5 String Basses?

I bought the 4-string version to play when I had a shoulder injury. It turned out to be pretty good for the price. It will be interesting to see the usability of the 32" B-string.

I'm reviving a zombie thread for my own nefarious purposes (bwa-ha-ha).

Have there been any developments in the medium-scale 5-string bass world? I've already got the shortish scale covered with an Ibanez Artcore and a Mikro, and the super-short with a Kala, but I'd like to see something in the 32"-ish range.

(Of course, what I really want is a medium-scale Alembic Series (I or II, not fussy) 5-string for under a grand. And a pony...)

Anybody?

I've been looking for more user threads about the Ibanez SRMD205,
and to my surprise, it seems very unpopular.

Very few here on TB, and even fewer used ones for sale.
Ibby is always highly spoken of on TB but crickets when it comes to this one.
I'm curious to know why since there are so many SS and LS Ibby threads.....057912
