rickenbacker makes a neck-through (better than a set neck). i got mine fore 985 shipped from www.musiciansfriend.com

I've tried used, and maybe will again.

I own a through-neck bass, and I like it alot. My through-neck bass only cost $7oo, though.

I was asking mainly out of curiosity, because I've never seen one for < $2,000.

You can find set neck Fodera Vic Wooten 4 strings around $2500 to $3000 depending on year and condition. I sold one over a year ago. Very nice

I see the 004 elite, but it's a guitar. I don't see a c-4 Elite, and the stiletto elite is through-neck, in case that's what you meant.

I have an Alembic Orion 4 string that I bought used for $1000 and it is set neck. I got lucky and found one that was nicely taken care of. I'm even happier now, considering that Alembic has raised their prices...

Yes indeed, it's still around, and the owner is registered with Alembic. Jack deeply regrets selling old #1, so I've heard. I'd love to see recent pictures of that one...

Warwick Infinity Set Neck 5 String.

I can be had for about $1700-$1800 (Street)
Probably about $1200-$1400 used?
