  1. Not to imply that i discovered such a thing.

    Did a search.

Do they exist at all for under 1thou? 2thou even?
  2. What's that? It looks warwick-like to me, but I no can tell for sure.......
  3. okay i used my l337 hacking skills to fing the origin of the picture, but the us price list says $2,200 or so. I guess ghat's just suggested retail.
  4. ever try used? I never liked the idea much but realized that great deals are to be found, and alot of people are like me and take excellent care of their gear.

rickenbacker makes a neck-through (better than a set neck). i got mine fore 985 shipped from
  6. I've tried used, and maybe will again.

I own a through-neck bass, and I like it alot. My through-neck bass only cost $7oo, though.

I was asking mainly out of curiosity, because I've never seen one for < $2,000.

Schecter makes one, I am quite sure, or at least they did very recently.

Edit: They did. The 004 Elite bass, and the c-4 Elite

You can find set neck Fodera Vic Wooten 4 strings around $2500 to $3000 depending on year and condition. I sold one over a year ago. Very nice

  9. I see the 004 elite, but it's a guitar. I don't see a c-4 Elite, and the stiletto elite is through-neck, in case that's what you meant.

BTW, thanks for the pointers, y'all.

I have an Alembic Orion 4 string that I bought used for $1000 and it is set neck. I got lucky and found one that was nicely taken care of. I'm even happier now, considering that Alembic has raised their prices...
  12. You beat me to it, AlembicPlayer. ;)

And a fine bass it is.

BTW, if memory serves me correctly, didn't the real Jack Casady take delivery of the very first Alembic?

  13. Yes indeed, it's still around, and the owner is registered with Alembic. Jack deeply regrets selling old #1, so I've heard. I'd love to see recent pictures of that one...
  14. I thought so.

    Thanks, Mule. :)

  15. Wasn't the first "Alembic" a Guild Starfire?
