Lifes is funny.. for everyone thats been on the hunt for a rare bird heres some hope. so im sitting having coffee waiting to go in late to either A. quit my boring job or B. take a layoff, and so I'm surfin Reverb.. not even looking for thee bass I've been searching for OVER 10 years!! cause ive given up!!! and what pops up??!!! THE shagIN BASS!!!!! MINE NOW!! some days are just magik!!!! funny side note, I've been a P bass player my entire life.. not sure how its gonna work out but its the adventure , the hunt and the effort that keep us all goin right!!

It's obviously a Hondo Black Lightning with a broken nut and... mismatched pickups? Or is that just an illusion due to the angle of the photo?

I've never once seen em referred to as a black lightning myself in 10 years. Its a H2 death dagger model guessing 80/81 the seller sent a nut with it and the pickups goin in the garbage unless you want it.

My first thought as well - I'm torn between the complete impracticality of the thing, and really wanting one - just because my parents would think it's stupid.

My next thought is that my current basses fit perfectly on the backseat of my car - a normal gig bag fits just right between the doors, and there is no way in hell that that thing (in any gig bag or case) would fit there.

OK, when I get a gig where the roadies deal with that stuff, I'm gonna get one. Yeah, that's it.
