After some long lasting nickels

TI Jazz Rounds or SuperAlloys.
My SuperAlloys last me 2+ years of 200+ dates a year.
But maybe i just really like 'em broken in.

But DR sells a set they say are pure nickel...I saw them on BSO, they're endorsed.
Jonas Hellborg...but they don't come in a 5 set or the gauges I want.

Without a doubt the longest lasting strings I've tried are SIT nickel Powerwounds. Nothing else lasted as long. Period.

They were formerly known as Circle-K strings, same owners though. They are an on-line/internet sale place, not really "boutique", but amazing choice of gauges. They are very knowledgable about string construction and offer balanced tension sets. Prices are quite reasonable and their customer service is excellent.

Thanks for the information! I had heard of Circle-K strings, but have never tried them and would never have associated them with Kalium.

Speaking from personal experience, I'm putting DR Nickel Lo-Riders on my fiver again. I replaced them with a different set of DRs after I broke the B (I forgot the TRBX305 has built-in thumbrests on the pickups... ) and then some GHS flats, but I kept on missing that sound and feeling I got with the Lo-Riders.

TIs will last the longest of flats. I haven't used enough rounds to say for nickel but I am going to make an out of box suggestion and say labella white copper tapes. Tapes last forever and they are surprising bright that may surprise you.

Dunlop Superbrights. They get a balance tone when they break in. Then stay like that for months. I use them in a jazz bass vm 5 string.I install a set on march. I replace them two weeks ago.

Yes.
Fender 7150
DR Hellborg
Pyramid Superior Quality roundwounds ( and some other lines; their flats, too )
Optima flats are pure nickel; rounds are not.
D'Addario Half Rounds
There may be others. The biggies - GHS, D'Addario (no rounds or true flats ), La Bella, Dean Markley, Dunlop don't offer anything.

I agree with TrevorOfDoom. The lifespan of the set of Infeld Superalloys I once had on my bass was freakishly long. The Fodera nickel rounds I currently have on my bass have kept their tone over a rather long time as well.

Agree re: Fodera nickel rounds - I've had a set on since January of this year (2016) and they still sound great.
