Ageing white plastic

Hi all,

I've just bought a black/white ply Pickguard for my Jack Casady bass, however the pickups binding etc are cream, so want to change white on the scratch plate to a cream colour to match. Any suggestions on how to do this?

I've read that coffee can be used, but is there any other techniques worth considering which are more practical?

Cheers

The white shiny plastic that pick guards are made from does not "relic" very well. It is extremely stain resistant to coffee, tea, shoe polish, etc. Your best option (IMO) is to buy a creme colored guard.
