Aggressive ROCK tone???

Sorry, it's been a while.
Warwick Corvette with pick is my suggestion (or even just fingertyle).. cuts through easily 
sweet rock tone with great presence in the mix.. you wont be buried for sure and it has its own unique tone.. it seems GC was clearing them out not long ago

the amp you use and it's eq settings can go a long way in forming your tone. no surprise there. i mention it b/c my p-bass with round wounds wasn't getting a good aggressive rock tone until a local sound guy suggested some tweaks on my amp. made a huge difference.

Definately Spector, check out my bands myspace. I used Spector through out the album except for 2 songs were I used a Fender fretless.
Hey guys, I know this is totally subjective, but I'm kinda in GAS mode and can't get enough feedback..I like an aggressive tone, can't decide if it's "modern" or what. I'm thinking, Schecter Stiletto, Spector Legend, Sub 5, or Tribute 2500....as of this particular moment, I'm leaning Tribbie...it's definately the most versitile anyway...thoughts???? tnx.
Well, if you check out "the seed" or "ride the earth" on my band's myspace page and think that tone is aggresive and modern enough for ya, then go for a Spector.
I'm rockin' the old NS4CRFM and picked it up for about what you'd pay for a new Legend. And not just pushing Spectors, any neckthrough bass with active electronics and P/J pickups will get you a nice aggressive tone.

last night i debuted (at band practice) an SB2 with stainless steel Swing 66 with my GK1001RB
The band love the tone and preferred it more than any of my many other basses/string configurations (i tend to favor vintage).
Reason they favored it = more aggressive sounding.
Buy a 60's Tbird, chop off the neck, install an early 70's maple board Fender P bass neck and crank it through a wall of Hiwatt custom 200s. Thats how JE did it.
