Aggressive ROCK tone???

Hey guys, I know this is totally subjective, but I'm kinda in GAS mode and can't get enough feedback..:hyper: I like an aggressive tone, can't decide if it's "modern" or what. I'm thinking, Schecter Stiletto, Spector Legend, Sub 5, or Tribute 2500....as of this particular moment, I'm leaning Tribbie...it's definately the most versitile anyway...thoughts???? tnx.

Jazz Bass, Stainless Medium to Heavy guage roundwounds,
tone knob opened to max, neck pup rolled off a hair, and
a Sansamp or Aguliar Tone Hammer {Optional}.
Boost low and hi mids on amp about 3/4ths and bass 1/4th.
{Keep smelling salts available for audience members who passed out from fear}

All depends on what you're personal translation of "Modern" and Aggressive rock tone are... ask 10 people here and you'll get 10 different translations or examples.
Yep, as this thread shows. But it's fun to see the examples and ponder them. For me, I think an ash/maple P with Roto 66's would be the ideal.
