Aguilar AG 500SC

I've played the AG500SC and the DB750 in backlines.

There is very little tone difference between the two.

Of course the DB750 has more power.
But I'm gassing for a 500SC...

I own the AG500SC and have played the DB750 in backlines and you're right. There is very little difference in sound between the two. The DB750 has more headroom of course but you can easily get by with a AG500SC.

I actually have the fortunate of owning both the DB750 and a AG500.
I had a AG500SC a while ago and sold it just because I wasn't using it. I always played with my DB750 and needed the money so I sold it.

Months later I needed a more portable and lightweight amp.
Decided to buy a Dual channel AG500. My Db750 hasn't seen any action since. Keep in mind to me the DB750 is the best amp that I've ever played with and I will never part with it.

But, currently I'm playing smaller venues and carrying my own gear, so the 500 works perfect for that. It doesn't have the stupid headroom and girth of the 750 but it has a very aggressive and powerful sound on its own and it's way more versatile, specially the 2nd channel.

Reliability as others have stated is not an issue with Aguilar. When I've had problems or had questions they have gone to great lengths to help and solve my issues.

++++++++++++++++++++2000000000000. Fa sho!!!!

I love my AG500SC. I just got it a couple of months ago and gigged with it a couple of times though I can honestly ask Aguilar...where have you been all my life. I have found the tone that I have been searching for.

Okay, I posted this back in August 2008 and it is now February 2009. The honeymoon is over and I STILL feel the same way. :D:hyper:
