Those of you that have been gigging this amp on a steady basis. Has it been reliable, held up to life on the road and stuff like that? Within its parameters, does it do what you need it to?
Thanks

I have owned two of them. A lifeless flat nasal sounding amp. IMO. Never had a problem with it but it sounds terrible to me. I prefer a very throaty authoritative sound that comes from a voicing much different to Aguilar though so JMHO.

Maybe is the best amp out there.
Very reliable, great sound (I don't unserstand the "nasal sound" coment...), lots of power, very light, great features...

I don't understand the "nasal" comment - mine sure did not sound that way with any of my basses or cabs. it!

+1. I actually do not own the AG500 for the opposite reason. It has a bit to much low end and not quite enough in your face mids to me... pretty much the opposite of nasal. I also find it a very warm SS head... about as far from sterile as can be.
We all hear things differently though.
why did you own two?? then...
It's Aguilar.
That's not a question you have to ask.
Seriously.
