Aguilar gs12 cabs ????

Well they have arrived, gonna plug them in to see if they work ok then take them out Saturday and see how they sound with a band

I’ll keep that in mind ,,, hopefully this will be ok as I’m looking for the best portable sound I can get at a low price ... I rested the speakers to see if they worked but that was a t a very low volume as it’s pretty late here ,,,hopefully it will handle all the low frequencies, the top end seemed a little funny , not sure if that was just low volume or maybe the tweeter is to much

Well after taking them to a gig my thoughts are !! .
Definitely easy to Carry compared to my 4x10 cab
Has more bass to the sound
Stacked made it easier to hear at lower stage volume
Really liked that about it , only thing I prefer on my 4x10 is
Something about the top end when I was thumping and popping the bass eg popping the g string it sounded a bit metallic ,, hard to explain but the 4x10 had a smoother top end to the pop ... if that makes sense .

The tweeter can be a bit harsh, I usually roll back the attenuation all the way on one and about 50% on the other.

I gigged with mine this weekend. Used my Mesa D800. My stage volume supported the 150-200 seat venue with a little support from a small PA. At the end of the night I noticed that in my haste during set up, I forgot to connect the bottom speaker! Still got some nice compliments on the sound and was quite happy myself. I will not be doing that again though. I would much rather push two than one. I am left feeling that it could've sounded even better (fuller) even though I dug the tone during the gig.

Update, I had been running a tc electronic spectra comp with my rig and sounded great in the old speakers, I had everything set up as normal but with the Aguilar gs speakers and turned the pedal off , the harshness from the top end was dramatically reduced so then I thought I would try my diamond compressor and it seemed loads better, I dare say if I put a different tone print into the tc it would improve but thought I would use the diamond for the minute, hopefully get to try this set up soon live . Sounds much better now already
