Awesome Aggie rig.

I just recently switched from an AG500 to my new Boogie setup (Titan -> Powerhouse 412) but it's a toss up. Both rigs have their pros and cons, and the Titan has more juice that I need for my band, so I went with that. I'll have an AG500+DB412 rig in the future, though, certainly! ;)

Also Justin- are you miking up at all on this tour or strictly going direct with a few different clean/dry channels? I know I've seen your old Boogie rig miked up before so just curious if that option was being utilized with the NIN tour.

Again, beautiful rig! Aesthetically, I think Aggie has some of the flat out nicest looking stuff.

Sure, it can feed back through Justin's rig, but modern piezo pickup design has come a long long way since the days that the Fishman BP-100 was about the only alternative to micing an upright. Between the reduced resonance of the King (Kings are built like tanks with bulletproof finishes and reinforced bodies so rockabilly players can stand on them with boots on) and the K&K pickup he's using, the chance of feedback is greatly reduced, unless of course you crank it way loud and stand right in front of it.

My bass teacher has been complaining to me for a while now about how his GS cabs have not been able to take all the juice he's been feeding them. So I've been careful ever since he gave me the heads up, especially when playing with LFOs and things like that.

Yeah, I have a GS 112 and I think I might have pushed it too hard at the last gig I brought it too (I'm sure the EHX BMS' suboctave didn't help either but man did it sound cool :D). I'm considering getting a 212.

I love my AG500. The second channel is cool to use and between that, my BMS and my 105q wah, I have a lot of freedom with my sound.

I tried out the Aguilar DB410 last weekend with a Walkabout head--wow, amazingly punchy! I then ordered one in chocolate thunder, which is apparently being discontinued (thus I got a smokin' deal). It showed up last night--this is one great-looking cab.

And Jimmy, the DB410 sounds fantastic with the Ampeg V-4B I recently bought.;)

you might consider getting a second GS112. I run a pair of them and they sound great. I have never been in a situation where I've needed to push them too hard.

Yeah, I've thought about that too. I figured it might be easier to lug around one cab than 2 but then again, I wouldn't need to use both cabs all the time. Decisions, decisions.

I feel the same way. My band did a few shows with an upcoming country band over the past few weeks and their bass player, another recent Aguilar endorsee, was kind enough to let me use his DB750 & DB412 rig. I thanked him, sobbing internally at the thought of playing without my Ampeg V4, but I ended up loving the Aguilar! Who would'a thunk it. If only I had taken the time to familiarize myself with his fancy rack-mounted tuner and not accidentally tuned my D string to a B mid set... talk about a brain fart :bawl:

The Aguilar is NICE, but I'd take my Titan every day. But vs. say the M-Pulse 600, I dunno. Tough call.

Although the AG500 in the price + performance = kickass category has gotta be near or at the top. It's definitely on my "To Re-Buy" list, haha!

Big, FAT tones and the 2nd channel is delicious!
