Aguilar owners, which cabs do you use?

I got a TH500 and use a barefaced compact 15'' cab. I would love ta have an aggie cab (DB112) but the barefaced is so light and I have to carry it up 3 stories

I own a TH-350. I use a combination of 1x15" Hartke cab (8ohms) mainly for jazz/funk and add a 210XL (8 ohm) Hartke total 4 ohms for rock/indie louder gigs. Works well with both but thinking of getting a second 15 to get more of the same and for better matching benefits. Reason for the match, I still like the sound of that cab, the 210 not so much... if upgrading I'd probably go the 2x 112 cab option.

I had a GS410 but i never loved it, sounds kind of like a MESA/Boogie Diesel cab on steriods, it has a very midscooped modern tone. I traded it for a DB212 and i coudlnt be hapier, the DB is way more vintage sounding, kinda like a 70's Ampeg and the 2x12 has a really nice voicing, powerfull mids and punchy!

I made this same correlation a while back on the GS/Diesel cabs;
which may be the main reason that I really like the 10" GS cabs.
The 10" Mesa Diesel cabs are absolutely phenomenal sounding.

I use 2 Bergantino AE210 cabs with my TH500...sounds awesome.

Would like to try the DB112s, but buying and selling cabs is just too much of a pain.

Does anyone know if the GS10 and DB10 cabs are the same speakers?

I can only guess that they are based on the fact that the db112 a gs112 are the same.

I'm running my TH 350 through SWR Goliath III (4x10'). This cab came first, and actually never tried other with the Aguilar head. Amazing sound, enough for me, as the cab is reproducing any nuance I'm playing.

I've been happy with my TH500 and GK NeoII 112 x 2.
Versatile tone, lots of punch and light modular options.
Am I 100% thrilled and done with head and cab GAS? ummm no.
Hence the audition... Also pictured a borrowed AK Hathor 1505 and Kustom KXB500.

Aguilar makes great cabs, but I really like the Bergantino CN212 with my TH500...actually, I like almost anything with my CN212.

TH500 into an AudioKinesis TC112v3, currently. I plan on selling the TH as soon as I can cover the difference between the proceeds and a Mesa D800. I like a cleaner sound than is inherent to the TH.

I recently aquired a TH350 from the TB classifieds for my sons "off to college rig". He hopes to be playing in one of the jazz ensembles with his 4 string fretless. Could you please recommend a cab weighing under 35lbs and costing no more than $400 (new or used). The current candidates meeting these requirements are a new Fender Rumble 112 or a used GK Neo 112. Thanks for any help!

Hey guys and gals!

I recently scored an Aguilar DB359. I've always wanted a great all tube amp and now I have one. Did the first gig with it last night with my tone tubby 2x10 and it couldn't handle the amp. I have an EA nm410 that I just hooked up in the garage and sounded much better but wasn't blowing me away. When I really turned up the gain and master the EA speakers farted when I dig in. Any thoughts on switching to 2x12's or possibly just adding 1x15? Thanks!

I have a TH500 and a Berg NV115, Berg CN112 and barefaced One 10. Three different flavors, all good. The CN112 is the one I tend to gig with and the One 10 is mostly for practices.

In the back of my avatar you can see the TH500/CN112 rig. Very good tone in any situation.

I've read a few times that the NV115 wasn't as good a match for the TH500 as other Berg cabs, but I was always intrigued by that combination. I would think a "tube-like/old school sounding head" with a sealed cab would be a nice pairing. Could you share what you hear in that cab relative to the CN112? Thanks!

The NV115 has a tighter sound, very vintage without the tweeter. The mids are nice but not prominent. TheCN112 has more of an upper mid tone which I tend to turn down to keep my EUB with its piezo from getting honky. The CN sound seems to me more omni directional, which works better if you are in a tight space and right up next next to the cab. The NV does like to have a few more watts behind it but the TH provides plenty. They are both good flavor of bass deliciousness, I bought th NV first but a few months later my wife hurt her shoulder and got tired/annoyed at me borrowing her van so I bought the CN which fits in my Miata. I really think the TH will work well with any quality cab.
