Aguilar owners, which cabs do you use?

Which cabinet model do you use with your Aguilar amp?

I like the GS stuff the best with my AG500: currently a pair of GS112's but previously (and soon to be again) a GS412. Between the AG, my basses, and my playing style I don't feel like the 12-loaded GS cabs are mid-shy at all, while the DB's sound a little too "focused."

That said, I'd definitely use a DB cab if I went back to using a DB750/1 head or a TH500. The focus of the DB cabs works perfectly with the more wooly DB and TH heads.

I am wondering what cabinet you choose with your Aguilar and why? The GB, SL, DB Series or other brand?

As more of a jazz player who likes the growl sound, I went with the DB series. I also prefer getting cabinets from the same manufacturer as my bass amp. I find they usually sound very good as they were designed to be played together.

I use this fEARful stack with my TH 500. I just got this stack from JHawk Customs in AZ. There's a clear description of them on the website at the bottom of the page where it says built for "dubbass." You can view them at this link:

It's working out very well and offers many tone options. I had a matched Aguilar rig before and it liked it. I sold it to fund a single large fEARful cabinet. I can always get a useful tone out of Aguilar amps - kind of like an iron fist in a velvet glove. I've learned that fEARful cabs are versatile with tone.

I don't have an Aguilar amp, so I didn't answer the poll. But, I have 4 Aguilar cabs:

GS410
GS210
GS115
GS112

I like the GS cabs. :-)

That said, these days, I mostly use my Bergantino NV610 for anything "out".

All the guys who dig Bergantino, AudioKinesis, and Fearful cabs, etc. will probably think I'm tone deaf but my two favorite cabs are my GS 212 and my 15PR400 loaded DB 115. It's just how I hear the bass. So sue me. These two cabs do a great job of mimicking the bass tones on many of my favorite records/CD's. And like every other member of this forum...yes, I get compliments on my tone. Have for years. Yawn. And Aguilar build quality is noticeably above average. For me...win-win. Did I mention that you can sue me? :)

:D Love the DB cabs. I'm a Bergantino CN and AE guy. I like the CN so much since it kind of vibes what I hear with the DB112's, in a louder, lighter format. I'd be very happy tonally with a couple of DB112's with my TH500/350 amps!

+1 Aguilar cabs are very high quality to my ear. I'm not a fan of some of the GS cabs (I dig my mids), but they are also quite nice!
